Catherine Osler, Chair

Catherine is an accomplished builder of companies, executive coach, international trainer and speaker. Her career has been built on her ability to create vision, deliver results and build community.

Catherine founded and led two of Western Canada’s top award winning, corporate communications firms – Titian Communications and Parallel Strategies. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies teaching and speaking on the processes of communication and collaboration that result in successful businesses today. Catherine has an exclusive practice working with CEOs across diverse industries. She has provided hundreds of hours of skillful coaching and led numerous corporations, their teams and individuals in the development and execution of strategic objectives. Her substantial experience with corporate leaders over the last 25 years and as a CEO herself, gives Catherine the edge she has today.

Catherine is currently engaged in helping women live great lives. She is co-founder of Syncresse Partners Inc, a practice devoted to the development of professional women. Through The Woman’s Edge, Catherine focuses on the unique contribution that women make in their businesses. She illuminates the source of their contribution and teaches the skills that will accelerate its delivery and recognition.

Catherine is Chairman of the Board of The Women’s Enterprise Centre. In 2004, she won Vancouver’s Influential Woman in Business Award. She was a founding board member of the Vancouver chapter of Women Entrepreneurs of Canada (WEC) and in 1997, a nominee for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Catherine has an Hons BA from Queen’s University (75) and an MA from Simon Fraser University (2004) with an original research focus on the role of female entrepreneurs in business today.
