Along with the festive stresses of the holiday season, for many business owners this time of year means fiscal year end, another year in business is coming to a close.

Reflecting on this milestone is a great confidence builder. How are you celebrating the end of the year in your business? What are you personally taking away as your contribution to that celebration?

Take some time this month to reflect on the following questions:

Looking back, what did I want 2012 to be about for my business?

Write down three words that represent your answer:

2012 was the year that I wanted my business to _________________ __________________ and __________________.

How did I do?

Write down three words that represent your answer:

2012 is the year that I created ______________________, __________________, and ________________.

It’s easy to get caught up in the stress producing dialogue of what didn’t work in your business this past year, what didn’t happen, the goals left unaccomplished. Taking the time to look at what did work, and what went well, can open doors to new opportunities. You get the chance to acknowledge the things that you ARE in fact doing and did in fact accomplish, instead of focusing on the things still on your list. As the final days of the year draw near, celebrating your 2012 success will support you in building everything yet to come for both you and your business. Give yourself the gift of a good pat on the back so that you can go confidently into 2013.

Speaking of 2013, are you ready for a blissful New Year? What are your plans? What are your goals? What actions will you take to make 2013 your best business year yet?
