September Business Tip
What do customers want?
What promotion methods are most likely to reach your customers? Some people throw flyers directly into the recycling bin. Others like to clip and use coupons for special offers. The better you know your customers, the easier it will be to choose your tools. Before you do, check to see that they meet these four criteria:
- Fit: they must match the image you want to convey and allow you to reach your best potential customers
- Mix: an average of five different marketing tools is used by most successful businesses
- Repetition: the "Rule of 7" says that it takes seven exposures on average before people notice you, and then seven more before they decide to purchase. You must be able to reach your target market at least seven times.
- Affordability: they must fit into your budget
