Bonnie Foley-Wong, CPA, CA, CFA, is the founder of Pique Ventures, an impact investment and management company, and founding investor in Pique Fund, an inclusive angel fund focused on impactful, BC-based women led ventures. She is also the CFO of Crown NorthCorp Inc., a US-based specialty financial services and asset management firm.
Bonnie empowers people to make impact investments confidently and in an integrated way. She is an accomplished finance leader and investor with 19 years experience of mobilizing capital for entrepreneurial businesses. Over the course of her career, she has financed over $1 billion dollars of alternative investments in Europe and North America.
Prior to founding Pique Ventures, Bonnie worked with Vancity Credit Union to launch Resilient Capital Program, which offered a deposit-based product to impact investors and provided financing to impact ventures. Before relocating to Vancouver, Bonnie worked in the UK with social entrepreneurs and impact investors such as Big Issue Invest and Resonance from 2009 to 2011. Previous to that, she was a real estate investment banker with ABN AMRO and Hypo Real Estate Bank, working with investors such as Fortress, Brack Capital, Credit Suisse First Boston, Crown NorthCorp, and LXB Retail Properties. From 2000 to 2003, Bonnie was a corporate finance advisor with Deloitte. Originally from Toronto, she began her career as an auditor with Deloitte.
Bonnie is the author of Integrated Investing: Impact Investing with Head, Heart, Body, and Soul, a methodology and practice for making mindful investments to help create a better world. She has been a mentor for Women in Leadership Foundation and the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, and was formerly a Board member of LOCO BC, a network of local and sustainable businesses in BC. Bonnie has a Bachelor of Mathematics and Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo and is also qualified as an alpine ski instructor. With her husband and young daughter, Bonnie presently resides in Vancouver.
