As entrepreneurs, we know that digital marketing is important but it often falls to the bottom of our priority lists. Even when we have spare time, where do we begin? What are the best tactics and tools? How do we maximize our time and budget?
Fortunately, the internet is full of free digital marketing tools. In this blog post, I’ve rounded up three of my favourite tools we use at Camp Tech, Canada’s leading tech and digital skills training company. These tools help you gain insight into your audience and boost your online presence and best of all, they’re all free.
Google My Business
Google My Business is a tool that allows you to control all of your information presented on Google. Although this isn’t a typical digital marketing tactic, it’s one that will increase your online visibility and could lead to more engagement with your brand.
Once you’re verified, people can leave you reviews, you can control your pin on Google Maps (and make sure you have one), show people photos of your space and a lot more. Verify your business now at http://google.com/business.
Have you ever wondered what people are doing when they get to your website? Or what people are clicking on? Or if they always leave on the same page?
Gaining insight into how people use your website will help you optimize your website – which in turn helps you boost your SEO. Google Analytics is a free tool that will help you do just that. It tracks what people do on your website and shares the information with you so that you can make data-driven decisions. To access it, you need two things: a Google account and access to the back-end of your website.
Do you want to create a print-ready postcard to advertise a sale? How about an eye-catching graphic for your social media profile? Canva is one of the best (free!) options for creating online or print-ready graphics. Canva uses a drag-and-drop format and provides access to over a million photographs, graphics and fonts. Anyone can use Canva and no graphic design experience is necessary!
