What makes you different and memorable? What makes people want to do business with you? Your hook is what will make you stand up and stand out from all the others.
Your hook is all about:
– Being memorable
– Being valuable
– Being unique
What makes you unique? List the qualities that you feel encompass one or all of those three areas. Is it public speaking, marketing, writing …create your list. Whether natural or learned, any of these characteristics could be your ‘hook.
Now…take a look at your business. What makes it different? Focus on strengths and benefits of doing business with you when deciding on your hook. Remember that your hook should bring more value to others than you.
Simple. You must discover and develop qualities that your clients will consider valuable to them. If you or what you have to offer is valuable to your prospects, you remove almost all objections to becoming your client.
A lucky few are born with the natural ability (aka ‘charisma’) that makes people want to buy whatever it is they’re selling.
So, what about the rest of us?
Your hook is what will make you stand up and stand out from all the others clamouring for eyeballs on their content, attendees at their events and clients on their lists.
