#DrivingWinTech Community Conversation: Kamloops

July 25, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Women in Tech World has embarked on a journey to build a community-driven Gender Equity Roadmap for Canadian tech communities.

DrivinWinTech is a community-based research initiative that has allowed us to build Canada’s largest qualitative data-set on women in tech to date. The Kamloops Community Conversation will be our 33rd stop on the tour!

This event provides a unique opportunity to connect with women and men in your tech community and share your ideas for how to create more inclusive and diverse tech communities, locally and province-wide. We’ll lead you through a set of interactive activities to help build a gender diversity and inclusion action plan, to be included in Discovery Foundation’s Driving WinTech: A Study of Women in Tech in BC.

This event is open to people of all ages* and genders who self-identify as:

  • woman working in the tech industry (or recently left in the past 5 years), OR;
  • an ally or advocate of women in tech (incl. all genders), OR;
  • stakeholder in the tech industry (e.g., government, non-profit, education or service providers).

* As this is a research activity, if you are under 18, you will need written permission to attend (email is fine).
