Small Business Information Session for Newcomers, Refugees and Immigrants
July 23 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Women’s Enterprise Centre Business Advisor, Dawn McCooey, is excited to share how we can help you start or grow your business at this event!
Are you a Newcomer, Immigrant or Refugee to the City of Victoria? Please join us for a morning to learn about all of the resources available at City Hall and in the Victoria region to help you develop, start, or grow your business. Whether you’re at the idea stage, ready to launch, or just looking for support, this session will help you to connect directly with community partners that provide services, resources, loans, mentorship and more. Not looking to start a business, but need some support in accessing information to jobs and employment? We can help with that too!
Join us in Council Chambers to meet and connect with the representatives from a variety of organizations here to provide services and support. You can ask questions, gather information and learn about all the resources to support you in realizing success.
The morning will start with a welcome from Mayor Lisa Helps, followed by a brief presentation session from all our partners, and commences with all our participating partners “booths” being activated around the room for the opportunity to network and gather further information and materials. There is no charge for this session, but please do pre-register.
