Join us for a 90-minute interactive look behind the curtain into the process used by Federal government procurement officers to evaluate bids.

In this dynamic workshop you will experience the bidding process through the lens of a Government of Canada Contracting Officer/Technical Authority, and evaluate sample bids against criteria from a fictitious tender, or request for proposal.

We are delighted to host Daniel Sandoz from the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSME) who will lead you in:

  • Applying best practices in creating your own bids so you stand out from the pack
  • Recognize common mistakes in bid submission so you avoid them in your submission
  • Identify how and when to ask questions when submitting a bid

About the Panelist

Daniel Sandoz joined the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Pacific Region in September 2014. In addition to his work as Policy Analyst, Business Engagement, within the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises, Daniel brings a wealth of experience, including over 15 years of global purchasing and marketing experience. Daniel has been involved in procurement performance improvement projects, e-commerce and SAP implementations for a global player in the chemical industry in Switzerland. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from Royal Roads University and an Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business/Western University. Daniel is a Certified Agile Leader with the Scrum Alliance.
