The Vital Entrepreneur: High Impact at Its Best

EY and the Kauffman Foundation conducted an analysis of the characteristics of high-impact entrepreneurs. One of the subsets they focused on was women entrepreneurs from their pool of applicants for Entrepreneur of the Year.
High-impact women entrepreneurs were able to spot niche opportunities in their sectors, and had high growth intentions with a focus on developed and emerging global markets.
Compared to other women-owned companies, high-impact women entrepreneurs focused more heavily on venture capital and private equity funding and maximized the use of operational cash flow through managing their businesses working capital.
They also consistently invested in their companies’ year-over-year in research and development, human capital, technology and new geographic markets.
