About the Facilitators
Dawn McCooey, MA (Leadership & Training), CMC, is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Women’s Enterprise Centre, and is based in Victoria. A Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Dawn completed a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Training at Royal Roads University, and has worked with corporations, small businesses and government in organizational development and human resources management.
As the owner of a career consulting company for over 20 years, Dawn managed up to 32 employees in three offices in Victoria and was voted “Best Boss in Victoria.” She is also the author of the Amazon bestseller, Keeping Good Employees On Board.
Tanja Halsall provides consulting services to various local businesses through her consulting company Potentia Human Resources & Engagement Consulting and is also an Adjunct Professor with the Faculty of Management at UBC Okanagan. Tanja is a life-long learner. She holds a CPHR and SHRM-SCP designation, a Masters’ Degree in Leadership, Post- Diploma in HR Management and initially began her commitment to learning while working towards her Bachelor of Education. Tanja draws on her 30 plus years of progressive management, operations, and strategic Human Resource experience to support local businesses in developing exceptional People, Culture and Leadership practices and in order to achieve exceptional results.
