Trish Mandewo is a Co-Founder and CEO of Synergy on Boards Consulting Group, a company that provides a resource for corporations and non-profit organizations looking to bring diversity of thoughts into their boardrooms. The company gives easy access to experienced, board-ready Black, Indigenous and other visible minorities.
Trish is an accomplished award-winning serial entrepreneur who has owned businesses in Canada and the United States for over 25 years. Her educational background is in Sciences, specifically Microbiology and Embryology. In 2002, Trish left her career in Embryology and started a home health agency. Since then, she has built three more successful businesses and founded two non-profit organizations.
Trish works with start-ups and growing businesses with an emphasis on organizational culture and relationship building. She also helps companies explore and unleash the wide range of opportunities that come from diversity of thoughts. She is a Mentor-in-Residence, and Diversity & Inclusion Stream Lead for SFU’s Chang Institute – Coast Capital Savings Venture Connection.
Trish was elected to the Coquitlam City Council in 2018. She currently sits on Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) community economic development and Indigenous relations committees as well as the Lower Mainland Local Government Association (LMLGA). She has previously served on numerous other boards including Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce where she chaired the Economic Summit and Immigration & Trade Committee.
Following her belief that knowledge is valuable when shared with others, Trish authored “Growth Strategies for the Hungry Entrepreneur.” She also shares her knowledge through public speaking and mentoring.
