Special Project: Enhancing the Mosaic of Women Entrepreneurs
Thanks to funding from the Government of Canada’s “Women Entrepreneurship Strategy Ecosystem Fund,” Women’s Enterprise Centre has begun a four-year project to strengthen the mosaic of diverse BC women entrepreneurs!
The “Enhancing the Mosaic of Women Entrepreneurs” (EMWE) project will improve access to our services throughout BC by:
- Providing additional team members in rural regions,
- Allowing us to expand our award-winning mentoring program,
- Expanding our support for exporters and growth businesses seeking to explore supplier diversity opportunities, and
- Helping us develop new training offerings, including programs designed for immigrant and Indigenous entrepreneurs.
Reaching Diverse Under-Served Groups
With this project, we’re excited to increase our support for under-represented segments, specifically:
- Geographic – Women business owners on Vancouver Island, in the North and in rural BC
- Sectoral – Diverse suppliers and exporters
- Demographic – Indigenous, immigrant and rural women entrepreneurs
How We’re Doing It
