Kath Britton, Contract Business Advisor
Kath Britton, MBA, CPA CMA, is a consultant and business advisor for Women’s Enterprise Centre, with over 15 years of experience in the financial and non-profit sectors. Women’s Enterprise Centre (WEC) is a non-profit organization devoted to helping BC women launch, lead and scale their own businesses. The full range of services WEC offers includes business loans, skills training, mentoring, advice and resources from our three offices in Kelowna, Vancouver and Victoria.
Kath has a passion for providing leadership and support to non-profit organizations and small businesses. As the former Director of Business Development for WEC, she worked closely with partners across Canada to support women business owners on trade missions throughout North America. She was the co-chair of the WEB Alliance of Women’s Business Networks, a consortium of women-serving business organizations in BC, and is also a Certified Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile™ Practitioner.
Kath has provided support to WEC and other Women’s Enterprise Initiatives since 2010. Prior to being the WEC Director of Business Development, Kath worked directly with women entrepreneurs as a Business Advisor to assess loan applications and provided one-on-one complimentary business guidance, then she expanded her role into Client Service Manager.
Prior to joining the non-profit sector, Kath spent several years in commercial banking and project management. She received her Engineering Degree from Waterloo in 2000, an MBA from the UBC Sauder School of Business in 2005, and her CMA designation in 2008.
Kath lives in Vancouver and is the mom of two elementary school age children. She loves biking, swimming, boating, skiing, traveling, spending time with family and volunteering in the community.
